The original Civilization map, also used for the Advanced Civilization game, has been updated. The original map had 4 boards with a Western Expansion map that was a sheet of card stock. We have incorporated all 5 of these boards into a single map, with dashed lines between some areas denoting the playable areas for the 5 boards. Starting locations have been updated also with colors matching the counter sets that we also sell. The map is now a single continuous sheet, enlarged slightly from its original 22 inch height to 24 inches by 46 inches. Map colors and population markers have been standardized with the 18 player Expanded map that we also sell which is 36x72in in size. This map allows a 9 player game with two optional civilizations making 11 to choose from. There are no zero population areas like the Expanded map has, this map is an accurate, re-engineered version of the original map with the Western Expansion. We are including an updated AST/CAC chart with the 11 civilizations on it. According to the original rules Iberia replaces Italy, and we opted to replace Babylon with the Celts, and place a starting area for them in the western board.
